With Extreme Slalom now having a foothold in the 2024 Olympic Games, Pyranha have worked closely with National teams and leading athletes on an evolution of the Ripper design, specifically focused on maximum performance in Extreme Slalom; the Rip-R Evo is the result.
This boat is narrower, sharper, and faster edge to edge for precisely placed speed than where and when it counts. You'll find yourself smiling as you're blazing past the competition, too. I think we should just make clear that this boat is not Pyranha's excellent Ripper 2. For most paddlers the Ripper 2 will be the boat to go for! And if your looking for an all-round fun package to hit the river and play, the Ripper 2 will do that perfectly.
If however you're looking for a more focused, faster, lighter no nonsense kayak this new Rip-R Evo is so much fun, and if you've come from a slalom kayak background and want a kayak to compete in Extream slalom races? Or just yearn for a boat that more closely resembles a slalom kayak, in the terms of how it runs and turns in the water, the Rip-R Evo will not disappoint. Its the perfect winter training boat, hit some gates, surf some waves, for dayz!
