The voyageur also has a nice expoxy tip to protect the tip of the paddle if you do hit any rocks. The blade is constructed from 7 ply laminated woods strips of Cherry, Basswood and Walnut, these also look fantastic as well as being strong yet surprisingly light. An excellant all-round paddle that will work very well on the Thames but will also preform well on wilderness trips on new rivers.
