For paddlers who want to get the most out of each stroke, Werner have introduced the Surge to their line up. An increased blade to shaft offset enables a more vertical stroke through the power phase, resulting in a more efficient and powerful stroke. Combine this with the large blade size, 725cm2 (for reference the Powerhouse has a blade size of 720cm2), the Surge makes for an excellent and powerful blade, with a bomber catch, to drive you forward.
Made with high impact fibreglass blades the Surge is optimised for both strength and flex, meaning you have a reliable and responsive blade that doesn't punish your body.
The full sized Surge blade is best suited for well conditioned and larger paddlers. Smaller paddlers wanting the same style of blade should consider the Strike.
