Lead-times on custom kayaks is around 8 weeks. If you would like to pre-order a kayak? Fantastic, it's a decision you won't regret. We have a demo and if you would like to try this on the water, again let us know. Stay tuned, more to follow...
The Alnes has been designed to extract every ounce of fun you can find while out exploring the coast.
Named after the small windswept Norwegian fishing village, where all the R & D in bringing this design to reality occurred, the Alnes is a very different looking sea kayak to what most people would have come to expect. The highly rockered profile and hard chines allow the Alnes to turn and move on a wave faster and better than any other sea kayak currently on the market, but don't for a moment think that this boat is a one trick pony!
At only 391cm in length, the Alnes is compact, yet it still manages to get up to speed quickly, and maintain that speed, so longer day trips exploring new coastlines are still well with in the Alnes capabilities.
With it's skeg up the Alnes feels agile and sporty, drop the skeg, however, and the kayak instantly feels well mannered & locked in, even in the most wind blown and confused conditions. The 3 hatch configuration allows for easy kit stowage. The rear bulkhead is neatly slopped, allowing greater storage but also means easier emptying of the kayak in an emergency exit. A great size cockpit allows for easy entry from land or water, this is a top little design! With lots of small details that you can just tell have been thought out properly by a designer who's spent many hours testing a design to end up with a kayak that is a passion project rather than external obligation.
