Sunbury Weir information

LOCATION: From Whitewater The Canoe Centre (see directions page): Right out of Felix Lane. Straight down the road. Approx half mile.  Park in the public car park on the right.

PARKING: Park in the public car park, walk across field, paddle down stream.

FEATURES: A maximum of 7 gates can produce an awesome wave or a mighty big hole (make your own mind up on the day!) 1 gate fully open & 2 gates either side half open produce the picture below.

SAFETY: This weir can be a pretty hairy at some levels.  Paddle down have a look! The weir sill is generally shallow enough to re-shape the front of your boat. Remember weirs are dangerous places, Be careful paddle safe and respect the locals, Do not ever get out in the gardens down stream from the weir.... the owners do get rather upset, Supprisingley!
