Why do we like Lettmann? In the UK Lettmann boats are relatively unknown, although some people have heard of the company threw their extensive paddle range the boats are very rarely seen. But like there paddles Lettmann boats are fantastic, the build quality is second to none the outfitting is solid and robust and all their designs are quirky but fantastic in the water. The Magellan is a case in point and embodies the definition of an expedition sea boat, the hull is largely round which gives the Magellan a fantastic speed to length ration, but does have a soft chinned edge, and this gives the kayak great stability but also provided excellent maneuverability. Then throw into the mix excellent kit carrying capacity and a top class seating system and you have a boat that can roll with any of the big names in its field. Lettmann normally produce there sea boats with an over stern rudder but now also produce this boat with a more British under stern skeg option!
