Hurley Weir

LOCATION: Marlow, Bucks

PARKING: Park at the end of the village in large car park (free) and carry boats to the water. At all times be considerate to the nearby residents, so the weir may continue to be enjoyed by all!

FEATURES: Hurley weir is by far the best weir on the Thames, providing a world-class whitewater venue! Depending on water levels 1-4 gates are opened to form combinations of large waves/holes. Any modern freestyle move is possible!

SAFETY: Although large Hurley, is in general a friendly weir. Only when Hurley is on 4 gates does it become sticky, requiring a strong roll. Stick to the main weir at all times as adjoining weirs can be dangerous! Remember weirs are dangerous places, Be careful paddle safe and respect the locals....
