Start em young! The Jackson Fun 1 & Fun 1.5 really quite a niche little boat, for little people. However if you do have a young son or daughter who’s keen to get out on moving water and learn than this is pretty much the only boat you need consider.

Start your kid out at age 2 or 3? Why not? Water wings, floating circles, and other pool toys are great fun for the little ones. A cool kayak is over the top fun for them. Since the Fun 1 goes from 30 to 80 pounds for kid’s weights, it covers ages 2-8 really well and up to a small age 10. The bigger brother or sister to the Fun 1- the Fun 1.5 is for kids from 60-120 pounds and gets them running rivers and playboating with ease. This boat also fits really small adults. A perfect boat to learn to paddle in flatwater or whitewater.
