Kayak buoyancy aid's or PFD's (personal flotation devices) are a pretty essential bit of kit what ever type of kayaking or canoeing your doing.

• White water buoyancy aids are suitable for grade 2 and above. These have added safety feature such as quick release harness, stitch plates and integral webbing for strength.
• Competition buoyancy aids have a minimalist design for maximum movement and minimal weight. They should only be used for competition where you never far from the bank!
• Recreation buoyancy aids are the basic model for clubs and entry level use with minimal feature.
• Touring buoyancy aids are for cruising up the river right up to high spec sea kayaking PFD's.
